Born Dwight Marvin Duncan on the east coast of Jamaica in Prospect Beach, St. Thomas in 1973. From the age of 9 years old, Duncan was involved with the church choir and as a teen became a selector for the Black Star Line sound system under the names of Junior Melody or Junior Buckley. Named 'Bushman' by Steelie, he released his first recordings for the dynamic production duo of Steelie & Cleavie. Bushman later recorded for King Jammy resulting in the albums, Total Commitment (1999) and Higher Ground (2001).
